Students who live within the school zone
Students seeking enrolment on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances
Students with a sibling attending the school at the same time
Students seeking enrolment in Year 7 must meet one of the above criteria to be eligible for enrolment. Students seeking enrolment in other year levels continue to be subject to the Department’s Placement Policy.

2026 Year 6 to 7 placement timeline
Victorian government secondary schools follow the statewide Year 6 to 7 placement timeline. Primary schools distribute information packs to parents and carers at the start of Term 2.

Applications due
Submit your enrolment application by this date. Government primary school families should submit through their primary school.
Wednesday 24 June 2026
Placement offers released
Families will receive notification of their child’s Year 7 placement offer.
What families need to do
Government primary school
Communicate with your child’s Year 6 Coordinator or Transition Coordinator until a placement is offered.
Non-government primary school
Submit the application form directly to Broadford Secondary College by the due date.
Home schooled
Families may submit the application directly to the school by the due date.

Kilmore Shared Enrolment Area
Starting from 2027, any student living in the locality of Kilmore, as per the shared enrolment area, is also guaranteed a place should they wish to attend
